Major recycling

Hey! ^_^

Over the past week I have been going through old boxes and junk stuck in closets around the house and I happened upon a old Dell laptop that used to belong to my sister. My mother was going to throw it away and my sister told my mom to throw it away when it first got broke 2 years ago. My sister hasn't mentioned the computer since she got her new one before we started college. Since my mother was going to throw it away I took the time to look at it and figure out what was wrong with it. Well I decided the only way to figure it out was to take it apart.

Well after taking the screen and the keyboard off (since I discovered that those were the only broken things) I set out to order replacements. After a week of excitement and waiting they finally arrived.
My mom and dad even shared in my excitement as I assembled my computer. When I was finished assembling it, it came on without any problems. It was fully functional and fully operational.
So after all of my work I thought that no other name would be fitting for her but Phoenix. From out of the ashes she raises anew. So there you have it , side by side, Jack and Phoenix. If you have a computer that you are about to get ride of, think about the environment before you throw it away; fix it, it cost less than replacing it.

New Equipment!

After completing my first logo I decided that I was going to buy myself something that would making drawing and coloring easier...I bought myself a Bamboo fun graphics tablet! It is so cool, a dear friend of mine from college had one and I fell in love with hers. Granted she is a much better artist than I am it still doesn't stop me from trying. After 3 long days of waiting it finally came in the mail.

Meet Jack!

-_-;; yes everyone, I name my electronics. Jack is the first computer that I have ever bought myself. I have had him for about 3 months. He is a very small computer but he has plenty of storage space, a mic, web cam, and wireless capability; but Jack does not have a CD-ROM location, meaning if you can't get it off the web then you can't put it on the computer. In this pic Jack is testing out our new piece of equipment, our Wacom Tablet! (^_^) I guess that you have already noticed that since the reluctant departure of my dog I have surrounded myself with electronics. Only electronics and animals can take up this space in my life...it is a space that the human race isn't worthy to even look at. Don't get me wrong I like individual persons but as far as people are concerned......to me, they aren't worth the skin that they are printed on.

Vacation pictures

These pictures are from my cruise to the Grand Bahamas. The first picture is when we first got onto the ship and we were planning on what excursions to go onto.

Next I had to endure the dreaded formal night. I really didn't want to dress up while I was on vacation, to me it kind of muted the point of being a "vacation" doing things that I didn't want to do. Yeah, so I'm not going to put my picture up here because I don't like the way the pictures of me keep turning out, I guess I'm just not a picture person.Next up is one of our excursions, We went to the pirate museum in Nassau.

Getting to Know Mika

Well it's been officially two months since I gave Mika to the humane society and to tell the truth I feel worse then I have ever felt in my entire life. For anyone who is reading this post I want to give you a little insight into who Mika was and for those who knew her but didn't have even the slightest clue of who she was, here's a little information for you.
Mika has had to fight for her life since the time I got her. I got her when she was about 16 weeks old. She has been in and out of the hospital and the vets office constantly in her short life. She had a weak immune system so the demodex mites in her hair overpopulated and made her hair fall out, created large bumps on her skin that burst and caused her to bleed, made her a easy target for infections, and made her itch to the point where she would cause gashed in her skin. So like a good parent I took care of her, took on hundreds of dollars in debt to take care of her instead of being a cold heartless human being and leaving her on the side of the road or throwing her in a river, or just leaving her in front of an abandoned lot. One thing I despise about the human race is that they view other creatures who populate this plant along side of us as lesser beings. Just because she was a canine didn't make her less of my child. when a human child get sick their parents dote on them and allow them to do anything they want, but when a dog gets sick humans expect them to still do as they are told. People treat dogs as something less and wonder why they attack. When a person looks down upon another person doesn't the one that is looked down upon attack? what makes dogs any different. Humans need to stop treating them like toys that you can just throw away when you're done with them. Here's a little information for the people out there who don't know squat about dogs, for those of you who have never had a dog in your life, and for those of you who have never had to raise them. DOGS CAN SENSE WHEN THEY ARE NOT LOVED! They can sense when they aren't being treated the same as everyone else in the family, that is when they act out. They do things that they know they are not supposed to do because they want to tell you they are unhappy. I dislike they way humans believe that dogs, just because they are pets, don't have emotions. They are mammals, are they not? Don't mammals have emotions, can't they feel hurt, sad, angry?? What makes them less in your eyes? Mika was a good dog, and loved people unconditionally, even those who didn't love her the same way. Mika was a puppy, just because she was big didn't make her any less of a 8 month old puppy. I would like to see a person tell their 8 month old child that they can't have an accident in peeing on themselves. Humans only scold dogs when they pee because it's an inconvenience for them, but what they fail to understand is that like when having a child it's no longer about you. It's about your responsibility to them. Puppies get excited and they pee. If you have never had a puppy then don't get mad when they pee. Having a dog is a big responsibility, I say this to children and adults alike. If you are not ready to accept them for what and who they are, you are not deserving of their love and you need to give them to someone that is. I have raised 47 dogs and puppies in my teen years and I have learned what raising an animal and what loving an animal unconditionally is all about. You are supposed to love them no matter what they do because that is exactly how they love you. And for Mika...I loved her so much more then anyone on this planet could ever imagine, she was so much more then just my dog. She my best friend and my daughter. I love her all my heart and I wish and hope that she is in a good home because that is what she deserves. She deserves to be with someone who can love her and take care of her and show her support no matter what the situation.
